How It Works
Last Updated: January 5, 2026
This page explains step-by-step how devotees can book poojas on esankalpam, participate remotely or in person, and receive prasadam or spiritual updates.
Step 1: Explore poojas and select service
- Browse the pooja catalog by purpose (health, prosperity, career, dosha nivaran, griha pravesh, marriage, etc.) or by deity/temple.
- Each pooja detail page clearly explains benefits, ritual process (in brief), recommended occasions, approximate duration, and inclusions (pandit, samagri, live-stream, prasadam, etc.).
- You can filter by location (temple/home/online), language of pandit, and budget to find the most suitable option.
Step 2: Provide devotee and sankalpa details
- After choosing a pooja, fill a simple form with devotee details like name(s), gotra, nakshatra, rashi, date of birth, and primary sankalpa or intention.
- You may add family members or business names to be included in sankalpa, with correct spelling as it is recited as submitted.
- For home poojas, provide full address, landmark, accessible contact number, and any building or society entry instructions.
Step 3: Choose date, time, and location
- Pick your preferred date and time slot from the calendar, considering available muhurtham suggestions shown on the booking page where applicable.
- Certain major festivals or high-demand days may have fixed slots; in such cases, you only select the day, and exact start time may vary slightly based on temple schedule.
- Choose whether the pooja is: temple-based on your behalf, at your home/office, or fully online/remote with live participation.
Step 4: Secure payment and confirmation
- Review your booking summary including pooja type, date, slot, devotee details, and total charges (including samagri, dakshina, and applicable taxes, if any).
- Complete payment using supported options like UPI, cards, net banking, or wallets through secure payment gateways.
- Once payment succeeds, you receive an order confirmation via email/SMS/WhatsApp with booking ID, key details, and links for any live-stream or tracking where applicable.
Step 5: Assignment of pandit/temple and preparations
- esankalpam allocates a qualified, experienced pandit or ties up with the selected temple based on pooja type, language, and regional tradition.
- For home visits, assigned pandit connects with you before the pooja to reconfirm time, address, and any specific requirements or list of items you need to keep ready.
- For temple/online poojas, our coordination team arranges samagri, ghee, flowers, and other essentials so that rituals are completed as per shastra.
Step 6: Participation and live-stream options
- For live online participation, you receive a link (Zoom/Meet/YouTube or integrated player) before the pooja; simply join at the scheduled time from your phone or computer.
- If live streaming is not feasible (certain temples, network constraints), photos, short video clips, or completion reports may be shared after the pooja, as specified on the service page.
- Even when you cannot join live, your sankalpa is taken by the pandit or temple priest exactly as provided, and pooja is performed on your behalf.
Step 7: Prasadam dispatch and post-pooja updates
- If the selected service includes prasadam, it is packed reverentially after the ritual and shipped to your registered address following our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
- Tracking details (where available) are shared via email/SMS/WhatsApp so you can follow the journey of your prasadam.
- You may also receive digital certificates, puja reports, or follow-up guidance depending on the service type and package selected.
Step 8: Support and feedback
- Our support team is reachable through phone, email, or chat for help before or after the pooja, including clarifications about rituals, muhurtham, or delivery.
- After completion, you are encouraged to share feedback or testimonials so other devotees can benefit from your experience.
